Sleigh Ride by Ventures I'm not sure of the whole song, but I think it's something like this: / = slide up = slide down ^ = bend PM = palm mute (as far as ....'s go) Intro: e-----------------------| B-----------------------| G-----------------------| D-----------------------| x2 A--777-x-555-x-33-x-2---| E--555-x-333-x-11-x-0---| Verse: e-------------------------------------------------------------------------| B-------------------------------------------------------------------------| G-----------0--2-0-------------------------------0-2-0--------------------| D-------023--------2---0-2-0-----------------023-------2---0-2-0----------| A---023--------------3-------3-0----------023------------3--------3-0-3^--| E-3-----------------------------31/5--3----------------------------------| e----------------------------------------------------------------| B----------------------------------------------------------------| G-----------0--2-0----------------------0-2-0--------------------| D-------023--------2---0-2-0------------------2---0-2-0----------| A---023--------------3-------3-0----------------3--------3-0-3^--| E-3-----------------------------31/5----------------------------| PM.............................. ..................... Pre-Chorus: e---------------------------| B---------------------------| then go back and play verse through once G---------------------------| then play this again D---------------------------| but after this, this time go on to the chorus A-5-555555------------------| E-3-333333------------------| Chorus: e---------------------6-----------------------------6---------| B-4h5/9--4h5/9--4h5/9---8--9-86---6^---9-86--6-9-8------------| G------------------------------6-----------6----------8^------| D-------------------------------------------------------------| A-------------------------------------------------------------| E-------------------------------------------------------------| e----------------------9-----------------------| B-8h9/12-8h9/12-8h9/12---11--12-11-9---9^------| G------------------------------------9---------| D----------------------------------------------| A----------------------------------------------| E----------------------------------------------| e-9--------------12------------12--------------| B----11-9---9--12--12-9---9-12----12-----------| G---------9--------------9-----------9---------| D----------------------------------------------| A----------------------------------------------| E----------------------------------------------| then go back and do this entire progression 2 more times: pre-chorus x 1 verse x 1 pre-chrous x 1 verse x 1 pre-chorus x 1 chorus x 1 and end with intro x2 and I think that's it. I'm doing this from memory of the song. I know they didn't include a bridge (or at least I'm pretty sure they didn't) You know, the part that starts off "There's a birthday party at the home of Farmer Gray" So, what we usually do is play this chord progression: Play the chord over the word only where the chord name is. You're basically playing with the rhythm of the words, so you're playing it faster than it looks written In other words, there's not as much time between each strum as it appears. EADGBe D --0232 D* ---233 G 320033 E 022--- A -0222- D D x D x D x D x D D*~~~ DDxG (let G ring a little) There's a birth-day par-ty at the home of Farmer Gray D D x D x D x D x D D*~~~ DDxG (let G ring a little) It'll be the per-fect end-ing of a perfect day E E A A A A E E E E A A A A A G(dont let ring) We'll be sing-ing the songs we love to sing without a single stop E E A A A A E E E E E E G (again, dont let ring) At the fireplace while we watch the chestnuts pop **pick a D chord from e string to D once, then e to G once Pop! Pop! Pop! same rhythm as above for these lines: There's a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy When they pass around the coffee and the pumpkin pie It'll nearly be like a picture print by Currier and Ives except when you get here play the last part of the chorus These wonderful things are the things we remember all through our lives then go back and do the entire progression one more time Introx2 Versex1 Pre-chorusx1 Versex1 Pre-chorusx1 Chorusx1
